The CoP-PPLD maintains this public web site (“Portal”), its tools and services as a courtesy to those who may choose to access it (“CoP-PPLD Members” and “General Users”).Their use constitutes an agreement with the following terms and conditions:
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your membership request and joining the CoP-PPLD, its portal, tools and services, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement and any modifications made to it in accordance with the terms below.
2. Publishing Personal Information
You are required to provide information about yourself and accept sole and full responsibility for this. You should not enter information on behalf of another person or about any other person.
The Portal administrators have access to your personal information, but will only use this information to contact you regarding the activities of the CoP-PPLD, account management or changes made to this Portal. Your information will not be shared with other organizations. You are required to use all reasonable endeavors to ensure against unauthorized access to the service, in particular avoiding the use of your user name and password by unauthorized individuals.
2.1 Online Roster
By posting your CV online and providing your information, you are giving your permission for your personal information to be made publicly available to the CoP-PPLD members who have access to this online Portal (your password is not shown to other members nor is your email address displayed, but members will be able to send messages to you using web-based forms). A user will be able to view your information in a web browser but will not be able to change your information displayed. Your information could be passed in this way to third parties, however the CoP-PPLD is not liable for such activity. If you do not wish to allow this type of access to your information, we advise not submitting your CV. (check with FAO mechanism to hide/unhide info etc and then revise)
The CoP-PPLD Secretariat grants permission to registered members to download information, and documents from the Portal, however only for personal, non-commercial use. The user does not have the right to resell, redistribute compile or create derivative works of information and documents downloaded from the Portal.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the findings, interpretations and conclusions expressed on this Portal are those of the various CoP-PPLD members, consultants and partners who prepared the work and do not necessarily represent the views of the Organizations they work for.
This Portal may contain links and references to third-party web sites. You acknowledge and agree that the linked sites are not under the control of the CoP-PPLD Secretariat, and the CoP-PPLD is not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained there within. The CoP-PPLD provides these links only as a reference and the inclusion of a link does not imply the endorsement of the linked site by the CoP-PPLD.
Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy, reliability, timeliness, consistency and proper classification of data, some data or information may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date, and may be subject to frequent revisions and updates. The CoP-PPLD shall not responsible for any errors, omissions or inadvertent alterations that may occur in the disclosure of the data on the Portal.
Users agree to indemnify the CoP-PPLD from and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses arising from the use of this Portal. If users are dissatisfied with any material on the CoP-PPLD Portal, or with the Terms and Conditions or Code of Conduct, the user’s sole and exclusively remedy is to discontinue using the Portal’s tools and services.
4. User Management and Quality Control
In using the CoP-PPLD Portal, you agree to use your best efforts to ensure that individuals posting content comply within the Term of Use and Code of Conduct of the CoP-PPLD Portal,

CoP-PPLD members are solely responsible for their interactions with other members. CoP-PPLD Secretariat and its Steering Committee reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor eventual disputes between members.
6. Linking to the CoP-PPLD Portal
Generally, Internet web sites may link to the CoP-PPLD Portal without seeking the permission of the CoP-PPLD Secretariat. However, such links must clearly identify CoP-PPLD as the source of the information displayed and preserve the integrity of the CoP-PPLD web pages without alteration.
7. Portal Functionality and Sustainability
The CoP-PPLD Secretariat and its Steering Committee make every effort to ensure that the sustainability and the continuity of this Portal, its tools and services. However, they cannot assure that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
The sustainability of the Portal is linked to the sustainability of the whole CoP-PPLD and its activities are subject to the availability of funds.
